🚨 He Had Everyone Fooled... Except His Fingerprints

Officers were carrying out patrols when a male was spotted associating with known local drug users in Chatham.

Unfortunately for him, the sight of police seemed to trigger an urgent need for cardio, and he promptly made off from officers. 🏃💨

After a short time, officers detained the male for a S23 search, who confidently provided his details. The only problem? Maddison Sawyer PC 46030679 Harley Deards PC 46031213 wasn't quite buying what was being sold.

A few extra questions later, and thanks to a healthy dose of professional curiosity, the cracks started to appear. 🤔

To settle the matter, officers requested the fingerprint scanner. The machine confirmed what was already becoming obvious: the male had been giving false details.

His real identity revealed that he was actually wanted by the Metropolitan Police for recall to prison and had been attempting to lay low in Medway under a completely different name.

📸 Moral of the story: If a police officer starts asking follow-up questions, it's probably best that your answers match your fingerprints.
